![]() ![]() It is based on the avoirdupois system, a system that uses weights in terms of the avoirdupois pound, which was standardized in 1959. History : This unit finds its history in the imperial and American system of units of measure. One PSI is approximately 6.895 Pascal (N/m2). It is defined as the pressure created when a force of one pound-force is applied to a surface of one square inch. To be able to do this anyway, an average approximation is always used.ĭefinition : A PSI is a unit used worldwide. Because it is not the same everywhere, you cannot simply apply a conversion factor to convert PSI to Pa or bar. The pressure that a Pound delivers depends on gravity which is not the same everywhere on earth. The PSI is an American unit and stands for Pounds per Square Inch. 1 atmosphere is therefore 1013 millibars and 1013 hectopascals. In this case, 1 millibar is exactly equal to 1 hectopascal. Air pressure is also regularly expressed in millibars or hectopascals. The atmosphere corresponds more closely to the average air pressure at sea level, and is defined as follows: 1 atm = 101.325 Pa so just over 1 bar. ![]() Meteorologists and weather forecasters worldwide use this unit, as an expression in Pascal would lead to much longer numerical results. Where atmospheric pressure equals 1013.25 mbar (101.325 kPa). Millibars (symbol: MB) is also commonly used to describe atmospheric pressure. The International Bureau of Weights and Measures, while indicating that authors are free to use bar, has not included it in the permitted list of the SI. The term “bar” comes from the Greek word “baros,” meaning weight.Ĭurrent usage : Although bar is the unit of pressure, it is not accepted by the International System of Units (SI) and is even disapproved in some areas. History: Bar was once introduced by Vilhelm Bjerknes, a Norwegian meteorologist who was at the forefront of modern weather forecasting. This unit is pretty much the standard reference when it comes to pressure. The bar is defined as 100,000 Pa, or 100 kPa. The bar is originally a British unit, and 1 bar roughly corresponds to the average air pressure at sea level (although 1 atmosphere (atm) is a better description). However, Pascal is not the only unit used for pressure: ![]()

The dark is in the light, and Wanda has no choice but to act accordingly - and if that means a showdown with what remains of Vision? So be it. The main difference between helium and hydrogen is that helium atom exists as a monoatomic gas in the atmosphere whereas hydrogen exists as a diatomic gas in the atmosphere. Due to the very light weight of these gases, they are used to fill air balloons. Due to the characteristic features of hydrogen and helium, there are many applications of these gases in industry. Therefore, they are the smallest and lightest atoms on earth. Relative Atomic Mass of Chlorine: 35.Hydrogen and Helium are the first two elements that are found in the periodic table of elements. The masses of the atoms vary from 10 -24 to 10 -23 grams. The relative atomic mass of C is 12.0000 amu whereas that of H is 1.008. It is the 1/12th of the mass of one atom of 12C. The relative atomic mass is expressed in atomic mass unit (amu). The mass of one atom of magnesium is two times the mass of one atom of carbon, therefore relative atomic mass of magnesium would be 24. “The mass of one atom of an element compared with the mass of one atom of carbon taken as 12 is called relative atomic mass of the element.” Lithium, for example, has three protons and four neutrons, giving it a mass number of 7. This example may lead you to believe that atoms have the same number of protons and neutrons, but a further examination of the table above will show that this is not the case. Since 2+2=42+2=4, we know that the mass number of the helium atom is 4.įinally, the helium atom also contains two electrons, since the number of electrons must equal the number of protons. I considered creating a thread about Night in the Woods when it released, since I know a lot of folks here dig these sorts of games, but figured I shouldn't if I couldn't at least recommend it myself. It's a little goofier looking (in that it has anthropomorphic animals), but it received good reviews and apparently tells an interesting story. I don't mean to hijack your thread, but has anyone played Night in the Woods? It looks like it plays almost exactly like Oxenfree. It just nails that creepy atmosphere and aesthetic and I love it. I think of all the games in that "genre" (in which I include Telltale games, Life is Strange, Gone Home, etc.), Oxenfree is still my favorite. I'll have to jump in and do that at some point. I still have Mass Effect Andromeda and presumably Destiny 2 to play, but I can't imagine that Oxenfree isn't going to be in my top five games I've played this year. And your friends will react if you cut them off sometimes. Or, a lot of the time, you can tap one of the bubbles early and interrupt someone and 90% of the time it changes the flow of the conversation or at least forces the other person to stop talking and hear what you have to say. You can tap on them at the appropriate time and respond to a comment or questions after the other person finished talking. You can not tap a bubble and stay silent and your friends will react to that. Instead of being "cutscene" based like Mass Effect or The Witcher 3 or Life Is Strange, you and your friends move and converse in real time and when it's about time for the character you are controlling to speak or respond you get between one and three speech bubbles to tap on. didn't I just say this?
